If you go to a horses profile and look right above where it says they are being kept it will say, "Equipment" and then, "Change Wearables." Click the Change Wearables and it will let you choose what to put on.

I'm really glad this forum exists and is still quite popular, although the whole "forum" thing is quite outdated; otherwise, I'd be desperately stuck at the first steps of the game...

Under Player (on the left hand of the screen)
A drop-down menu will appear.
Choose Inventory.
Along the top portion of this screen will be a button to 'Upgrade to size -- for $----'.

Click that button to increase your inventory capacity.
