Three I need help with- Two changing colors and a stripe?

Post by SunnyVale »

I'm new to this game, and coming across some really odd ones.
First I have two full siblings that I would love to know what colors and genes are at play for each of them, both were born reddish bay, turned into blackened browns (like the dark browns that look black, but on the muzzle and soft places there's color, but not mealy) by about two, then have been fading as they've grown older

Then I've got a baby 1/2 Forest Horse x 1/2 North African Barb, dunn-ish color starting to develop stripes on her legs? http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/985673
I love this look, and while I had thought about focusing on developing Gypsy Vanners, this makes me thank about the extinct species and exploring or creating some more early/extinct breeds.

A fun one I wanted to share with someone is Father Time, who has Old Man Face greying before he's two. I assume it's a partial of his mother's greyish screen- She's like a chestnut but with some blue-grey screen over her body but not mane&tail. http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/984772

Dilutes are difficult at times. The good news is that it looks like you have only one of them.

Prodigal Son looks like he carries the dilution cream (single gene). Brown is the base. He doesn't seem to have much else except leopard complex (this will make him change color a bit as he ages).
I would consider him a Smoky Brown near leopard. I see no dun on him.

Sensational Sam is another leopard complex. There may be a gentle expression of pangare from her father. No real other distinctions that I can tell. I would consider her a Brown Panagare (or mealy brown) near leopard (or extended blanket as that little stomach page isn't connected, in my opinion I'd probably say it's extended blanket, but that's all personal preference).

Mirrored Whinny is offering a classical expression of dun (that's the stripping and the gray-like appearance of her body). It doesn't look like she inherited the cream from her father. Her base is brown and she has her mother's pangare. I would consider her a Brown Dun Pangare.

Father Time (a lot of graying horses display this type of graying on this game), is a silver bay or a graying silver bay.

If I'm off color on one of these horses (or more), I should be corrected fairly quickly.

Enjoy!
