Just want to check if i'm correct

Post by Nessein »

Hello everyone!

I have two horses of which I would like to know if I have identified their colors correctly.

I think that this one is a smoky cream

I think that this one is smoky cream champagne (going grey as her father is homozygous grey)

And this one I identified as buckskin, but it seems like his manes are a little more grey than normal?

Thanks in advance :D

I accidentally rehomed one of the horses :(
Luckely her mother gave birth to an even better filly with the same color!

So is this smoky cream champagne?

You are correct with all of the colours.
About the buckskin and the lighter coloured mane I would just like to add that it is normal in this game that some variations of bay (including some dilutions added to bay based horses) have lighter manes and are not completely black. I have noticed that it is connected to how much black they have on their legs. If the black points on the legs reach up above the front knee the mane is black. This can be compared to the wild bay horses where they never have completely blsck manes since they don't have much black on their legs.

Thank you!
I wasn't aware that the bay manes could be lighter in some cases. Good to know.
