Need help with this colour!

Hmm. He is quite interesting. To me he appears to be silver classic cream dun. This is based on what I believe are very faint dapples, and the coloration of his mane and tail before they grew out. His dam is undiluted except for silver, so at most he could have a single dilution at the CP locus, which makes me believe he inherited cream from his sire (who must carry it because his sire was a double cream).

Also, he has some reddish tones on his lower legs that we would only see on a silver black or a chestnut base. That helps me rule out bay or brown.

My final answer I think is the silver dapple. Crossing to double blacks might clear up some other what-may-be genes.
