Winter 191
A few days after our first log we were visited by representatives of Silver Sky Ranch. They had seen the sale add for our little Kirgiz colt and wanted to take a look at him. After a short examination the decided that they liked the look of him and he was loaded on the trailer to head off to his new home.

Next Step completed his comprehensive training. His temperament was a little out of whack so he was put out to pasture for a bit to even him out.

Shortly after our Kirgiz colt's departure we welcomed a new colt out Indecipherable. While he had quite a bit of white he wasn't quite up to our standards for colts so he was put on our castration and sale list for once he is weaned. Indecipherable was rebred for foal for next year.

We also welcomed Longest Dynasty's first foal - a colt by Between Worlds. This colt was the first mixed Knabstrupper from outside of our regular Knab lines for quite some time, but unfortunately was not quite up to our standards. He fell to the same fate as Indecipherable's colt and Longest Dynasty was rebred to Between Worlds.

After a few days in the pasture Next Step appeared to be feeling more like himself. He performed superbly at the local shows in our area and so we decided it was time to step him up to something more challenging. He has been entered into several upcoming dressage competitions and we eagerly look forward to his results.

It was the wee hours of the morning when Wonder decided to grace us with her foal. It was yet another colt, which was quite a disappointment. He was very nice specimen but not quite nice enough for us to keep. He will be leaving for a home with one of our neighbors when he is old enough. In the meantime Wonder has been rebred for a foal for next year.

Later that day Front and Center dropped her first foal, a stunning little filly. We named the baby ¤ß¥Å¤ Midnight. She doesn't have quite as much white on her legs as we're used to, but has nice coverage in some areas we usually have trouble with. We hope she will prove to be a wonderful addition to our program. Front and Center was rebred for next year.



Trophy decided to join the filly club. Unfortunately she also decided she wanted to rush the membership process and her filly was born too early. The little thing tried her hardest but didn't quite make it. We gave Trophy some time to get over the trauma before breeding her to Trailblazer for a second try.

Lightyear popped not long after Trophy and gave us a cute little girl. We named the baby ¤ß¥Å¤ Ice Beam. Ice Beam was cute enough that we decided to rebreed her mother, but this time we bred her to Triumphant in the hopes of getting a baby with a bit more white.



We were overjoyed when Nadleeh's baby decided to make an appearance. She is one fine little filly! We named her ¤ß¥Å¤ Seraphim and placed her in our dressage training program. We also rebred Nadleeh to Trailblazer in the hope of getting another foal that's just as nice, though hopefully a little on the lighter side.



It was picture day for the truly stunning Maneuver. At 2 years old she is every bit as gorgeous as her mother, though we do hope her mane and tail start growing out soon! We'll check in with her again when she turns four.



Well it seems that Bunker saw how excited we were with Nadleeh's filly and was determined to out-do her. Her own filly came out no less than astounding. She's probably our best filly to date, even considering that she's the wrong color! Our training program was already full, but ¤ß¥Å¤ Home Base was so promising that she bumped Seraphim off of the roster.



It was picture day for Intermediary and Next Step. At two years old Intermediary is turning into a stunning young mare. We can't wait to see what she looks like in two years! At four Next Step's mane finally grew out some more, but it looks his tail is going to remain fairly short.




Mineva achieved a new personal best-score in Endurance. She's been developing well and we're very hopeful for her future success.

Spring 192

As spring slowly started to bloom we welcomed a new colt out of Celestial. He was cute, but not quite right for us. The Knabstrupper registry had previously expressed interest in any of our unwanted purebreds and so he was set to go to them after weaning. Celestial has been rebred for a 193 foal.

Spherical was the second mare to drop this year. She gave us our second colt. He was promising, but his movement wasn't quite up to par. He has been sold to a local family that will use him for 4-H once he is weaned. Spherical has been rebred for a 193 foal.

It was picture day for Debut, Halevy, Saturn, Valerie, and Hawking Radiation. Debut, Halevy, and Saturn have all reached breeding age and joined the queue for available breeding spots. All three of them have turned into stunning mares. Valerie and Hawking Radiation both reached their second birthday. Both fillies are maturing nicely, though they look more like Przewalskis than Knabstruppers with their upright manes and grulla coats!







Dullandal achieved a new personal-best in Endurance racing. At not even one year old he's shaping up to be quite an impressive colt!

The day after Dullandal's stunning performance, Treasured Dynasty decided to outshine him by giving us one heck of an amazing filly! We named the brilliant little girl ¤ß¥Å¤ Treasured Night. As this filly is exactly what we were hoping for and Treasured Dynasty is getting on in years (she's 23 now!) we decided that it was time to retire her. We put her out to pasture and let Civilization's Twilight take her spot on the breeding roster. We bred her to Long Live The King for a 193 foal.



The news got a bit lost in the excitement over Treasured Dynasty's filly, but Safety Inspection gave us a little girl as well. She wasn't quite right for our program and will be moving on to a new home once she's weaned. Safety Inspection was rebred for 193.

It was picture day for Longshot. Her large spots really are a sight to behold and make us very glad that we kept her for our program. At one year old she still has a long way to go but is shaping up to be a wonderful mare.

We had a bit of a gap between our foals, but then three of our mares decided to pop at once! Long Lost followed in Treasured Dynasty's footsteps and gave us a gorgeous little filly that even has the elusive left stifle coverage we've been working so hard on! We named the little girl ¤ß¥Å¤ Long Night. As this was Long Lost's second keeper foal we decided to place her on our hold list and give her breeding spot to Succession. She was bred to Cryptic for a 193 foal.



Turn-coat was the next of our mares to foal, and she also gave us a filly. She was a classy little filly but not right for us and will be moving on to another home once she's weaned.Turn-coat was rebred to Trailblazer for 193.

Move On gave us a filly with absolutely stunning movement. Sadly the filly stumbled under her mother a few days after birth and her leg was broken when Move On stepped on it. We are broken-hearted to report that we couldn't save her. Move On was rebred before the accident and is expecting a foal from Next Step in 193.

Picture day for Mineva! She's looking to be quite a pretty girl. And she capped off the day with a very nice performance at a local endurance show.

Summer 192

Transformation gave birth to her latest filly. The compact and sturdy little girl showed promise so we decided to keep her for our program and named her ¤ß¥Å¤ Avalanche. This was Transformation's third foal to be kept for our program so we decided that it was time to put her out to pasture. We gave her breeding spot to Star Chaser, whom we bred to Triumphant for 193.



Fugitive gave us a very handsome colt from Trailblazer. He was quite an improvement on the white side of things, but didn't quite match up for movement. He will be sent to a new home once he's weaned and his mother was rebred to Trailblazer for 193 in the hopes of a filly.

Picture day for All In! At 2 years old there's still a year to go before we can breed to him, but we are really looking forward to the day this colt can strut his stuff in the breeding shed.



Next Step chilled out quite nicely from his stay in the pasture. We decided it was time to bring him back up to the barn and put him back in work.

Nocturnal reached breeding age. We're a bit disappointed with her thin mane and tail, but her spots sure are something. She has been put on the waiting list for a breeding spot.



Meteor Shower gave us a ridiculously tiny filly with a snowcap sized to match. We were disappointed with the patterning on this baby - she had significantly less than either of her parents - and so we will be looking for a new home for her once she's weaned. Meteor Shower has been rebred to Meteorologist for 193.

We were very excited at the prospect of Security's foal by Triumphant. Unfortunately the resulting colt ended up completely lacking in any leopard pattern. He was still the classic Knabstrupper black so he will be sent to the Knabstrupper association when he is weaned. Security was rebred to Triumphant for 193.

Retro was the next mare to pop and she gave us a pretty near fewspot filly. We named the little girl ¤ß¥Å¤ Disco Club. This filly was everything we wanted from Retro, so Retro has been posted For Sale. Her breeding spot will be give to Blood Queen once we have more space.



We are sad to report the passing of Homesick. She lived to a ripe old age and leaves behind two wonderful offspring to carry on her legacy.

Blood Queen was bred to Line of Succession for a 193 foal.

Home Sweet Home gave us a cute colt with a loud snowcap, but he just wasn't quite loud enough. He will leave for a new home once he is weaned and Home Sweet Home has been rebred for 193.

Trailblazer earned his Dressage Grand Champion title! He also got a new high personal best! His best is still .02 points lower than his sire's, but he's definitely showing what he's made of.

Picture day for Revival! At 2 years old she seems like she's not quite going to outgrow her awkward yearling conformation. Her flank is a bit shallower than we'd prefer and croup a bit too steep but as she's not in training we're willing to overlook these faults for now.



Mineva finished up her stamina training and moved on to speed. She's already racked a new personal best endurance score and we expect that she'll only get better as she gets faster.

Autumn 192


Analyzation graced us with her first foal - a very cute little filly. We were very excited to see progress to the shoulders and down the front legs from these lines. There's hope for them yet! We named this little one ¤ß¥Å¤ Successive Analysis. This is the second very nice foal from Analyzation and she took our last open pasture spot so breeding any new mares is on hold for now.



Mineva's scores just continue to get better with her increased speed training. How far will this girl go?!

It was also picture day for Test Results! She's turning out a bit more short and lanky than we expected but is still a very pretty girl.



Ballroom gave us a new foal from Cryptic. The little filly had a cute snowcap pattern, but not enough white for our use. She'll be leaving for a local leopard-pattern farm when she is weaned and her mother has been rebred for 193.

Picture day for Drill Team and Starry Starry Night! Both of these girls have developed some crazy ears! Drill Team is looking to have pretty average conformation for our Knabstruppers, but we'll see how she turns out when she turns four. Starry Starry Night has a rather impressively long neck. Honestly she's looking a bit like a mule at this point. But at least she's a gorgeous color with nice stifle coverage.




Shortly after the photo shoot we were visited by representatives of Aerostar who had seen our sale ad for Retro and decided to stop by to take a look at her. They had their vet do a pre-purchase exam and decided that Retro was a good fit for their program. They returned the next day with their trailer and Retro loaded up and left for her new home.

Forgotten History turned four! She's showing off some impressive bronzing but should darken up soon. She's been added to our waiting list for breeding spots.



Venus gave us a new colt. While impressive, he wasn't quite up to our standards. He'll be going to a competition home once he's weaned and Venus has been rebred for next year.

Nighttime Tapestry gave us an adorable little filly with impressively complete coverage on her back half. Though it didn't extend past her barrel we decided that she was still good enough to keep for our program. We named her ¤ß¥Å¤ Twice A Night.



Burgundy gave us yet another Kirgiz. As we don't breed Kirgiz we found a new home for the little one. We rebred Burgundy to Blush in the hopes that next time she will give us the Turkmene X Mongolian we are looking for.

Mineva had a bit of an issue with her weight dropping lower than we like, and yet she still achieved her first score below a 20! We're hopeful that she'll be even more amazing when she gets back to her ideal weight.

Europa was our latest mare to turn four! We are eagerly awaiting our chance to breed this beautiful girl.



Secret Ritual gave us yet another colt and yet another disappointment. She was rebred for 193 in the hopes that she will finally give us a filly.

Moonstruck is untrained, but when shown against my other untrained horses has shown possible potential in the cross country and marathon driving disciplines. His greatest potential seems to be in Marathon Driving.

Moonstruck has Master Champion titles in both Cross Country (30% WPS) and Dressage (2.1% WPS) despite only lackluster performance in dressage. He also has a Champion title in Marathon Driving (28.6%). These titles were achieved against other untrained, pasture-kept horses with the one exception of a first-place finish in Marathon Driving where he defeated my trained dressage horse Sucker Punch.
