I want to know what the evaluation books are.

They tell you how close your horse is to a certain breed on a scale of n/a(0) to 5 based on its characteristics and physique. The breed you're comparing your horse to can be selected via the books you buyTheDame wrote:I want to know what the evaluation books are.
