Sugarbush Draft

The Sugarbush Draft horses was inspired by the American cavalry horse captured from the Nez Perce tribe. This tribe was famous for its spotted horses, including the predecessor of the Appaloosa breed and their official breed the Nez Perce horse. The Army crossed many of the spotted horses with heavier cold blood horses and the offspring were sold for agriculture use, thus the Sugarbush Draft was born.

The Sugarbush Draft horses are lighter than the common cold-blooded horse, but act like a heavier riding horse.
