【ℤA's Realistic Horse Breeder Registry】- CLOSED / INDEFINITE HIATUS

Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

【ℤA's Realistic Horse Breeder Registry】

【ℤA's】Realistic Horse Breeder Registry (or【RHBR】) is a collection of breeders on Horse World Online who aim to breed the most attractive and realistic purebred horses in the game! Registered Breeders must follow strict Breeding Standards for the breed they choose to work with. Only real-world modern horse breeds are allowed, as our Breeding Standards will be based off of real-world breeding standards!【RHBR】Breeders will also be given an overall Breeder Rating based off of the founder's rating of their current breeding population.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————

【How do Ratings work?】

★/☆ is used to represent star ratings - ★★★☆☆ represents a 3-Star rating.
When a Breeder applies to join the【RHBR】they must submit their horses to be rated by myself (Ziel) according to the Breeding Standards I've put in place for each Breed, which are listed publicly at the top of each Breed's Registry Post. The horses will gain individual ratings based on how "correct" they are according to the Breeding Standards. Our Breeding Standards do NOT account for Stats / HGP, only appearance of the horse. The Breeder, however, will receive a Breeder Rating based off of the current overall quality of the horses in their【RHBR】Breeding Project - both their "correctness" AND Stats / HGP!

Part-Bred horses ARE allowed to be submitted towards consideration of a Breeder Registration, as long as they are considered over 80% blooded towards the breed being applied for. Outcrossing to different breeds is a valid and proven way of bringing in higher stats or other desired traits into a breed, especially in HWO.【RHBR】Breeders will not be penalized for using outcrossing in order to circumvent the game's limitations.

PLEASE NOTE: As the【RHBR】grows and changes, our standards and ratings will change, too! Please don't be alarmed or feel discouraged if your Breeder Rating drops due to higher overall Breeding Standards!

Want to join the【RHBR】? Want to request a new Breed be added, or your Breeder Rating be updated? This is where you'll find all the info you'll need!

【RHBR】Discussion
This is where registered【RHBR】Breeders must keep ALL【RHBR】-related discussion that is not submitting an application, or asking a question regarding the registry.【RHBR】exclusive studs / trades / sales should go here!

Breeds, Standards, and Breeders - A to Z
Please use these links to navigate, as newer breeds added to the【RHBR】won’t be listed directly below this post!
Andalusians - Arabians - Belgians - Friesians - Gypsy Vanners - Knabstruppers - Quarter Horses
Can you add a Lipizzaner? I try to reach proper look including right colour for a long time and at the same time I want to breed horse with the best possible HGP, what is the reason the progress is slower.

Quick note: The Belgian standards are getting a rehaul after doing more research, and determining that the “classic” or “historic” Belgian - the Brabant - has actually been classified as it’s own breed IRL. The “Belgians” I have been producing until now are more in line with Brabants, as is the example image from Wikipedia. Brabants are more pony-type, and overall shorter with longer backs and large heads. Belgians are closer to horse-type, overall taller, and have short backs and smaller heads.

I’m uncertain if the huge size of the Brabant’s head (around the length of the shoulder) is possible in-game, so that may be revised as well.

The Belgian standards have been HEAVILY modified! Please check out the new standards if you've been considering joining the registry: http://www.horseworldonline.net/forum/v ... 79#p110579

The Belgian they use as an example on Wikipedia is actually a bad example of BOTH breeds, so images have been updated accordingly as well.

Hey there! Just so you know, since you’re technically applying to join as a Breeder under a new breed, this will not count as a “re-evaluation” and won’t effect your monthly request in that regard. ;)

Your horses are evaluated as follows:

★★★★☆ Realistic Connemara - Faults: Neck bit short.

★★★★☆ Realistic Connemara - Faults: Ears bit long.

★★★★☆ Realistic Connemara - Faults: Carries Silver*.
*NOTE: If there are real instances of registered connemaras with silver you can point me to (ideally high-ranking horses), then I can alter this. But for now, since the breed standards don’t mention Silver as a color allowed, I am counting it as a fault.

★★★★☆ Realistic Connemara - Faults: Horse-type.

Awarded Breeder rating: ★★★☆☆ for 4 star horses in the 30-50k range.
