Standardbred

Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

If anyone needs some low COI (<5%) Canadians I have a fresh batch that's growing right now. I got a colt and 2 fillies currently.

I HATE rehoming them! But I can't get them to sell when I put them up. I guess now I'll post them up here so they can go to good farms. ;)

Please do that! I managed to grab a STB mare and could use different stallions for her.

I'm currently stuck on Narragansett Pacer. It seems nearly impossible to create.

Got your mares Rodeo_Ace! Thanks! 8-)

But how on earth does one create a light horse breed when the ingredients are basically all pony breeds? :?

Yes! I'm glad. I didn't have the time or room to keep working on them. Very glad you picked them up!

I mix in light grade horses into the lines, it's the slow way but after a while it really pays off.

Just started breeding Standardbreds, was wondering if anyone is still working on the project.

Well, I think that all the Standardbred breeders have left. Except Lakewood, I think.
I guess this is somewhat of a breakthrough.
