Welcome to the first annual Golden Meadows Arabian Horse Show!
This show will be running until 7/20/19.
Entries close: 7/20/19.
Judging Classes: 7/20/19 evening.
1st and 2nd place in each class in each category compete in Best Overall for their Category: 7/21/19
1st place in each Best Overall compete for best in show: 7/21/19
Winners announced: 7/22/19! (note: You will not be notified about Best Overall wins or Class wins until 7/22/19)

*Only one class entry is required to qualify for a chance to make it to Best Overall Production Arabian!

Production Arabian Broodmare Class

What is a Production Arabian Broodmare Class?
It is a class for the productive broodmare who has foaled a number of quality foals and possesses excellent conformation.

What am I looking for?
1. A broodmare that has produced a good number of foals of excellent quality.
2. Excellent Stats
3. No reds
4. High HGP (60,000-69,000= outstanding)
5. Eval of 4 or 5 (height being the only wiggle room)
6. Good Arabian Conformation.
7. Refined
8. Feminine
9. Healthy weight (not super important but can be a deciding factor)
10. Titles (a good competition record is a extra point)
11. Offspring with Titles (deciding factor)
12. Bombproof Temperament (to increase likelihood of mare being a good mother)

What doesn't matter?
1. Training
2. Perfectly balanced weight
3. Coloring
4. Height
5. Age (preferably alive)

It is a class for the productive stallion who has sired a number of quality foals and possesses excellent conformation.

What am I looking for?
1. A stallion that has produced a good number of foals of excellent quality.
2. Excellent Stats
3. No reds
4. High HGP (60,000-69,000= outstanding)
5. Eval of 4 or 5 (height being the only wiggle room)
6. Good Arabian Conformation.

8. Masculine (must not look like a mare)
9. Healthy weight (not super important but can be a deciding factor)
10. Titles (a good competition record is very important)
11. Offspring with Titles (deciding factor)

What is a Production Arabian Pair Class?
It is a class for the productive mare & stallion pair who have been bred together and produced a number of quality foals and possess excellent conformation.
Note: You MUST enter a mare & stallion pair that has been bred together at least 4 times and produced at least 4 living foals. YOU MUST OWN BOTH MARE AND STALLION or your entry is void!

What am I looking for (both horses must meet these standards)?
1. The mare & stallion pair that has produced a good number of foals of excellent quality.
2. Excellent Stats
3. No reds
4. High HGP (60,000-69,000= outstanding)
5. Eval of 4 or 5 (height being the only wiggle room)

This class may be entered by any pure Arabian (yearling to adult) and is judged using the Arabian Standard (IRL Standard)
Note: All Horses entered: MUST BE WEARING A COOLER OR BLANKET & should be in Moderate weight to be competitive!

What am I looking for?
1. Short well-dished face
2. Thick Jowls
3. Clean Throatlatch
4. Clean sculpted neck
5. Defined but not fleshy crest
6. Mane of medium length
7. Head and Neck blending smoothly at throatlatch
8. Head and Neck in proportion to one another
9. Proper weight
10. No Roman noses
11. No Tigers eye

Best Shoulders, Back and Hindquarters
What is the Best Shoulders, Back and Hindquarters class?
This class is assessing the proper proportion in body of a Arabian
Note: HORSES MUST NOT HAVE ANY TACK ON! HORSES SHOULD BE AT MODERATE (or moderately thin) WEIGHT TO BE CONSIDERED

What am I looking for?
1. Short back
2. Flat, blended Topline
3. Sloped Shoulders
4. Withers Blending smoothly with the neck (not overly prominent)
5. Rounded Hindquarters
6. Clean Blending between parts
7. Complete, even look
8. Full flanks
9. Fit overall appearance
10. Excellent Muscle definition

Best Legs
What is the Best Legs class?
This class is assessing the proper shape and length of a Purebred Arabian's legs in proportion to the horses body size
Note: HORSES MUST NOT BE WEARING LEG WRAPS!

What am I looking for?
1. Long slim legs
2. No short "stubby" legs
3. No Feathering
4. Nicely Blended legs that look clean and well made

Best Tail Set
What is the Best Tail Set class?
This class judges the set or positioning of the tail

What am I looking for?
1. High, proud, plume-like tail set
2. Smooth, long tail
3. No Fluffy tails
4. Tail must reach the hocks
