Thank you, I am very proud of them, they're my life's work on HWO :')BlackOak2 wrote:

Gorgeous production.
Congratulations on all that work! No wonder you want to keep your bloodlines exclusive.
Now I feel my own bloodlines come up lacking!
Actually, they do a bit. Not too much, they have their own brilliance, but they're not pureblood and they don't have quite as polished stat scores as yours does.
Hmm... I still have work to do!
These are the ones that turned my eyes. These first four are a combination of competition records, conf scores and breeding report. In order:

http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1261745 - Gold City of

This last one doesn't have a comp record, but the conf scores and breeding report caught my eye.

Now for your insight. Like you, I do have concerns about crossing into different body styles. Although she's already crossed well to a racing-style, so I suspect she'll do well again. Out of all of them, I think though that Silver Swan and Withered Leaves might be too drastic of a cross, especially in the hip angle area.
Plus your face conformation is quite different from Eternal's... your's are more right side, mine are more left side, except for Withered Leaves... I'm not too sure how much that might affect things.
So that's where I'm at.
Yes their bloodlines are jealously guarded by me, I wouldn't risk what happened before again.
Let me try to formulate a decent response and get my wonky brain to work... *wacks head repeatedly*
Alright! Down to business then! Indeed your mare and my stallions have very different conformation, so in this case, I think going with a proven producer would be best.
Looking at the horses you linked, I can say with confidence that Iron Gates is a proven producer, siring 3 past RHs. Gold City has produced an RH, but I recall that most of his foals were rehomed because of poor Conformation and Breeder's Report. Iron Lark has sired 2 past RHs, but I'm certain that he'd have sired more if I had the chance to breed him. Withered Leaves and Silver Swan haven't been bred before, so I don't really want to risk them being a poor producer. So for proven producers, I'll lean towards Iron Gates or Iron Lark. (There's a reason why they're named Iron, gotta pass those genes on somehow )
As for analysing their build and conformation when comparing them with Eternal Rain, I don't think there'll be much of an issue, they might clash and produce an unforgivably poor foal, but they might inherit the better traits of each parent and produce a good foal. Like you said, Silver Swan and Withered Leaves might have too much difference in the build, so that leaves the other three.
As for Breeder's Report and conformation, I believe that Iron Gates would be a good choice as a stud. With good GP, good Breeder's Report and good conformation, he should be able to produce a foal that won't disappoint. The others are ehhh. I'm a bit iffy with their confos and although they have great comments for speed and such, it's not realistic to expect a foal to inherit a good comment too. It's better to have a foal well rounded in everything and able to compete. They also have lower genetic potential than Iron Gates. Iron Gates definitely wins this one!
All in all, I believe that if you want a cover to one of my studs, Iron Gates is the best option! Let me know if you disagree, because I might be biased to my soft floofy beauty that is Iron Gates. He's one of the Standardbreds I'm most proud of!
Also, about what you said about keeping the lines private for a few generations, I don't mind if the foals are sold etc. I mean, the foals are yours to do as you please, but maybe I'd like a message if you're selling? Would be more than happy to take any off your hands.
About horze, I have beef with them. I won't mention anything on a public thread, but if you'd like to know, you're welcome to pop in chat for a whole salty rant.

*Waves* It's good to be back for sure. I've missed the community and my lovely racers! Now I have to try to drag mora, dawn and all the old players back again_h a z e l_ wrote:
Hi Tisha, it’s so good to see you around again! We’re glad to have you back!!
Like Sawd and Black Oak said, racers, specially TBs, are the most popular trend in the game right now. I’ve also noticed that more rarer breeds are becoming more popular because there are a few players that are trying to get every breed of horse on their farm. So they’ve been generating some attention to rarer breeds, which is nice.
I can’t wait to see your racers around again; I’ve always enjoyed drooling over them Perhaps I could do an interview with you some time to include in my racing newsletter?
Once again, it’s good to have you back!
Hazel
Hmm I should be wondering why TBs are still so popular but I already know the answer lol.
Yes that's indeed good! Other breeds deserve love too!
Ahahaha I think I understand what you're saying. I came back and stared at my racers for a while, their body shape and colours are so pleasing, I got a new appreciation for them. Definitely plan to get back into racing soon!
BlackOak has kindly updated me on the newsletter! And sure, I'm fine with that, although I don't know what you'd want to interview me about lol.
Glad to be back and see familiar names too!

I am currently breeding *5 eval Paso Fino's on this account and on my side account Lila2517 I breed *5 eval friesians.
You could maybe try to bring back some rare breeds that there is only one or two left.
Start a training and/or champing service.
Start breeding a breed for a specific discipline and make them very successfull in it.
Help new players to get used to the game.
These are my suggestions!
I wish you luck for your project, hopefully all goes well and you're able to achieve your goal soon!
Those are all good suggestions! I've been thinking about starting a training thread and starting to breed the Selle Francais again, for perhaps a discipline that I've never tried. Thank you for the suggestions, I think I have a better idea of how I'd want to play the game!

Absolutely! I'll give you a message if I plan on selling... but I'm rather attached to the idea of breeding into some older, established lines... so I don't think they'll be going anywhere.
Believe it or not, that mare and her two full-brother sons are actually not my top favorite right now. They certainly are in the top five, numbers 2, 3 & 4, or something right there, but my favorite is another generalized specialist that handles... rather everything BUT racing disciplines. Either way, some of those horses are getting a bit stacked. And I'm certainly building some good lines into them I think. Or good blood at least....
She IS my favorite mare... The matriarch of the line, she had to be passed on. She gave me a few last foals as a fresh, foundation-style re-injection... Look at that, I'm wandering with my thoughts again.
Anyway, if you feel Iron Gates is the most likely candidate, then I will have to agree. After all, production by the breeder is important to consider. I didn't re-home any of her foals, so what she has was, every one, acceptable enough to give a try. She's proven as a breeder as well as in the competition shed.
Would you prefer me to send the mare over, so that we can ensure no accidental breedings happens? Or, if you are interested in keeping a foal from the pair, you're also welcome to keep her and pop her as well. I'm fine with however we decide to make it happen, including waiting for us both to be online to meet in chat and work it that way.
The only thing left is stud fee. As long as it's not over a million for a cover, I'm good with the price. After all, she's proven to throw foals that earn enough to cover his fee. Plus I trust that you'll not short yourself or your work while also not reaping beyond what you think his fee should be.
Okay, why does that always sound worse than I mean it????
Also, interviews generally cover styles of breeding, top horses you remember owning or possibly trying to best and generally what you're planning on or looking forward to. I am interested in what you'll say, so having a spotlight interview from a recently broken endurance record owner (which amazes me that some of those records haven't been broken since 2017... while many of our other records in other areas have much more recent rollovers), AND ALSO getting to have an update on yours as well. It's tickling me pink. Or green, as the case may be... mr. green... Why don't we have a mr. pink? It would work better.
They're interesting little asides in this game. Brings it more to life and offers more life into areas that need it.

I'm afraid I'm pettier than that, if I don't like someone, they'll stay on my blacklist for pretty much forever. That being said, I'll avoid all contact with the player/s to save myself the displeasure. I'm sorry if you find me an unpleasant person lol, i just...cannot stomach what some players did with my Standardbred lines. I know it's my fault they got out, well, mostly, so I can't do anything about it except be careful in the future. Ah okay, back to the topic at hand.BlackOak2 wrote:

Yes, I do think that Iron Gates is the best candidate, he better not disappoint us!
I don't mind taking the mare and breeding her to my boy, but I use turns horrendously slowly so I think it'd be better to send her back for you to pop her.
Don't worry about the fee, I don't charge for studdings when I let my horses be bred to outside mares because they'll belong to close friends. I really am just floating around in a pile of money and I have nothing to do with it, so just your word to make the best out of the foal will be good enough for me! (Might also be interested in buying grandfoals but we'll see if my boy cooperates first)
I get what you mean Really, don't worry about the fee.
Hah, I think I'll have to get into playing the game more intensely before the knowledge comes rushing back to me. I don't know who'd take me seriously even if I said something lol, I don't have any RHs to back my word up.

I meant, I don't hold it against others to hold grudges against other people. I do try to smooth things over sometimes, but I also understand when things can't be repaired (or shouldn't). After all, we're human and being petty allowed us to survive into civilized society and through it, in certain cases. Sharing can be overrated! And that's MY brownie! I'll bite. When I was in school, I was the designated friend toward everybody and wore the cap of being able to slip into and out of any group I wanted without previous prejudices being held against me. It was... a weird experience. But I could also get a lot done.Tisha wrote:

She's up. I should have enough room to take her back whenever... if she comes back soon, I might even have her popped in a couple hours. But I'm in no hurry. I have enough in training and comp-testing right now. Rather, I do that all myself.
And thank you for the opportunity. I do appreciate it. Fingers crossed! Both that she survives and produces beautifully.

Ah gotcha. Gotta say, that sounds extremely weird lol. I've always been a headstrong, blunt person who probably ruffled more than a few feathers. Yeah I'm sure there is an advantage to being liked/neutral with all kinds of people. Huge advantage actuallyBlackOak2 wrote: I meant, I don't hold it against others to hold grudges against other people. She's up now, I bred her quickly! I hope the foal doesn't disappoint, I'm gonna go crash in bed now, it's nearly two am. Please show me the foal! Actually I think I'll probably stalk her XD
