I just started so I don't have much. I only have 4 horses, a barn, and 1 pasture with a tree inside of it.

You must be careful and take notice of the size of the pastures and barns you purchase. In the description of each barn or pasture, it will say how many that pasture can hold max. And in the title of the barns or pastures, it will read: 'small' or 'medium' or 'large'. This will further give you a clue to how many horses it will hold.
The different sizes of barns and pastures will also offer different visual sizes on your farm as well as holding a different maximum head of horses.
