Snowflake Pattern: UnExtinction
Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

I would love that, the spots are beautiful! All of my main horses are mixed breeds or grade horses because of how many different breeds I've had to introduce to consistently get spots. Please put him up for stud!EclipticEnd wrote:This is a great project; I love horses with dense snowflakes like the one you've shown! I do actually have a Grade Horse stud that looks quite similar! He evaluates 4* for Turkmene (too tall is all) and I'm willing to put him up for stud if you'd like? He's one of my favorites so offering coverings is all I can do. My base fee is $1,000.koalove2 wrote:If you have any horses or studs you'd be willing to contribute (I will of course pay provided the price isn't too extreme) that fit all or most of these requirements please link them!
Note: I will accept non-Turkmenes if they have good spot coverage
If there's any other way I can support this project, let me know!

He's up! Use him all you'd like as he's just a collector's horse for me. If he runs out of energy then feel free to send me a ping! I'm also very interested in possibly buying a well-patterned Turkmene in the future, so I hope your project goes well!koalove2 wrote:I would love that, the spots are beautiful! koalove2 wrote:Hey guys! I am back after a loooong hiatus to continue working on my snowflake pattern breeding program. This isn't my main account, but on my account "koalove" I have quite a few snowflake patterned horses. Most of them are some percentage Turkmene because that gene occurs most naturally in that breed and the pattern goes well with the shine of their coats. I would love to know if any of you are interested in helping me in my goal to not only establish Snowflake as a more common pattern in the game, but to create my own signature brand of Snowflake Turkmenes!
Current Goal:
White spots covering all of body
No blanket/other appaloosa markings
Signature Turkmene shine
Pleasing conformation (not a main goal right now, once I have the pattern down I can work on this)
Successes:
And more! If you're interested in purchasing any of my horses, let me know

I’m interested in bringing this into my Thoroughbreds if at all possible! Trying to keep full purebred Thoroughbreds though.
