Update your passwords please!

HWO did not have a data breach, but many users have used the same password for HWO as other sites that have. What this means is your account could be at risk. Currently we are having a number of user accounts being stolen and used to spam the forums because those users passwords were leaked elsewhere.

How you can protect yourself:

• Use a unique password for each account.
• Use a unique password for every website.
• Do not use the same password for your email account as your HWO account.
• Do not use the same password for more than one account anywhere.
• Don't tell anyone your passwords.
• Use strong passwords.

If you see spam on the forums please report it. I will remove it ASAP.
If your account has been compromised please let us know and I will help you to recover it.

Yikes! Sounds like its happening more often then ever before! My old account had recently (when I say recently I mean last year sometime in July) got hacked into and everything had gotten deleted. I use a Dell Computer while online and when I make a new account it suggests 'strong passwords' and thats how I got my account hacked. Turns out there was a visual mistake when the password supposedly said 'kUbek937eHbs' the real password they set was 123456789. So just putting that out there all you Google account users!

I recently went to try to create an account under my email but it said the email was already in use. I don't remember my username or password for that email. If I provide the email, is there any way you could let me know the account name or delete the account?? Thanks!
