IDEAS NEEDED
Post by Enchanted Equine »
Hey guys, so I have been feeling really down lately so I decided to scrap my Turkmene project and rehomed all of the horses I had. I am in need of ideas for a new project now! I want something that isn’t terribly difficult and that is easy to do without inbreeding.

There is always TBs you can fall back to. I've tried to get rid of my TBs and do different breeds but I always end up with a farm full of them, that's why I have to clean .y farm weeklyTrapandJup wrote:Hey guys, so I have been feeling really down lately so I decided to scrap my Turkmene project and rehomed all of the horses I had. If you want I could let you see some of my foals (under 3 years) and if you like any I'd give em to you. But these are just fun TBs, not the best at competing. But I do have some Flam TBs I'm working on that have a ok confo for competing you could have some that I don't like as much.
Also by Flam TBs I mean horses that look like this
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3012612
(You can see how she looks like she's a Flam)
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2036881
(He's not exactly what I want my Flam TBs to look like but his confo helps me use him because of his color in this project)
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3299240
(He's a foal from the 2 of them, he's a good confo and color, and has a feather gean so he could pass on feathers like his Dam)
But ATM this is what I'm starting with
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3349793
(She's pretty but not the BTIGHT color I really want. But with the correct stud she's giving me the color I really want)
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3355337
(She's got a ok confo and her color is good. I'm not really liking the socks on them but I think it will look cool when I add feathers on them (breeding with a feathers stud) and the tiger strips are a little to noticed for me personally but I think like the first mare I linked if she had it it would look cool)
Lmk if you'd like to look at any foals as another breeder for "Flam TBs" would be cool!!!

Thank you so much! I will definitely check out anything you have available, those look amazing! I am not 100% sure that I will go for this as a project but I will definitely consider it!FantasyRanch3 wrote:There is always TBs you can fall back to. You could create a line- for any purpose- using all outside studs, to keep COI lower.TrapandJup wrote:Hey guys, so I have been feeling really down lately so I decided to scrap my Turkmene project and rehomed all of the horses I had. Breeding for movement is super rewarding- but might be difficult if you want to avoid inbreeding (most movement projects I've come across are heavily inbred)
I think balance-based disciplines would be fairly easy to tackle- there are loads of studs with good balance comments. Saddleseat, in particular, hasn't had a new record in almost a year.

That’s great to know! I was thinking of possibly trying to breed NABS for movement or Arabs for saddleseat!Cypress Creek Elites wrote:You could create a line- for any purpose- using all outside studs, to keep COI lower.TrapandJup wrote:Hey guys, so I have been feeling really down lately so I decided to scrap my Turkmene project and rehomed all of the horses I had. You could breed high HGP horses with lots of color or one specific set of colorsTrapandJup wrote:Hey guys, so I have been feeling really down lately so I decided to scrap my Turkmene project and rehomed all of the horses I had. If you want more of a challenge, you could breed up to 70k hgp from Ac North African Barbs. Its been an idea I've had for a while, because all the High HGP NABs are hard to get and look the same! I just am very preoccupied with my extensive current project. You could pick up a few colorful NAB's from the market and the AC.TrapandJup wrote:That’s an awesome idea! If you don't want to do all that, you can pick up several different horses from the market with colors you like, then breed up the HGP.
