Welcome to Manchester Equine Rescue Centre!
Manchester Equine Rescue Centre is the headquarters of Manchester Equine Rescue Association (EERA) is located in northern Manchester near the Lake District. The farm is approaching its 10th year, and the farm started from nothing to now, a horse paradise!
The MERC’s mission is to save and provide a safe home for equines - from shires to fjords, every breed of horse can find a home! We rescue horse about to be shot and those who cannot return to the wild.
The MERC provides a wild range of activities that allows interactions between horses and tourists. Here you can go on regular riding lessons to even train for your next horse show. We also provide stabling at a extremely cheap price. For one - time experiences, you are advised to try out our trail ride with one of our horses, you will surely be spellbound by the amazing maple trail’s views. Why not wrap up your perfect day with the lovely sheep? We also have some of them grazing near the pastures. Now you know where to find them!
We host a special event every year - a fund raising horse show! Riders of all UK come to experience the up to 10 different horse disciplines including Endurance and pole bending. All the money raised that day will go directly to supporting our project of Arabians in Arabia. Also there will be some fully recovered horses looking for new homes that day. So make sure to check them out!
