There is one donated horse left for grabs at this time. Here is the breakdown I gave earlier:Clover Stables wrote:...
Speckled Sandcastle
2 0 5 2 = 9
2 years (currently in training, so will age up another few months) 2 years, 5.5 months
Colt
Likely Adult Height: 15.2hh
In Training Training Now Complete
Black Based
Single Lp
Appears to be Silver Dapple Smoky Cream Grullo (two creams & dun gene)
HGP: 60118
Scores:
Speed 59 - gold
Strength 28 - (positive, non-colored comment)
Stamina 39 - green
Balance 21
Movement 31
Agility 24
Tempo 36 - gold
Comp Record Not Recorded
Parents not tested.
Back Length: Medium toward long.
Overall Conclusion: Appears to be holding to both parents overall outcomes. This is another that COI should prove useful for those that are looking to solidify some areas that their herds have too much movement in. Favor breeding to confirmed heart horses. This colt would be an excellent candidate to offer a larger body build into a herd that's too light. He is of a heavier build then both of them, but his body size doesn't differ much from his dame. Again, this horse would not be best for herds that are longer backed, because he will offer no help in shortening back length, but he shouldn't be a problem for herds that already favor medium-short or shorter backs. Overall body form should benefit most herds. Please take into consideration his entire herd benefit or failures and not just his color, when you consider adding him to your herd. He will always throw cream foals (buckskin, palomino, smokies), and might throw double dilutes with diluted mares. As color management for herds, he does appear to be black based, the silver gene having remained hidden behind the red-based lineage so for those of you wanting to pull away from the red-bases, he appears to be a single extension carrier (E/e).
He is not yet finished and transferred.
