The Competitive Breeders Association

Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

FINALLY!!!! I finished up this mare! Took forever! LOL
All stats have to be trained to minimum of 99% for this club, right? I've read in some threads some people consider 90% fully trained and others 99%; so I figured I'd ask.

Horse name: Frosted Glass
Breeder: FreeMustang
Owner: FreeMustang
Best discipline(s): Pole Bending
Best time/score: 29.59 Seconds
Your horses have been registered
I never thought of that, actually. I think it’ll be that at least 3 stats have to be trained to at 99% because I know some players train the racing method which means that only a few stats are at 99%
A horse is considered fully trained if every stat reaches a minimum of 90%. I (personally) never train to just 90% because it makes the horse look unfinished or like you did not put much time into it. I train 99.2%+. Nothing against it, of course. It still works just fine and as a result it is still used. Besides, the horses usually compete just as well as the ones trained up more. I think it's just me struck with some perfectionist needs; I need the bar for each stat to be at the top and at the same level since when you train to 90% or so there are usually a few stats that reach higher than just 90%, which presents an uneven stat table...! (If it was possible to train to 100% in every stat I would, haha.)
I have never seen anywhere that a horse trained fully in a select few stats is considered fully trained, so that has yet to be a true fact. To me, I think that a horse trained like that is considered half-trained as the trainer only picked a few stats for it to be trained in and thus it hadn't the experience in other stats like a fully trained horse would. "Fully trained in this stat, this stat, and this stat" perhaps, but when I think of a horse that is fully trained it is in every stat. Players use a training method for a few stats so that the horse can compete in the discipline(s) it was bred for- it takes less time doing it that way.

I think that what h0rsey labels "fully trained" as in this club is a good base level though, since this is not focusing on one discipline and so there are many different breeders and trainers here with different standards and such.
A wise man once said nothing at all.

I'd like to make a suggestion for the horse registry!
You could make a separate forum topic for that, and have an individual post for each week/month (or maybe one for every 10 horses?). It would make it a lot easier to sort through as well as edit. Horses could probably still be submitted through this forum though.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will speak to the other leaders about it.

FreeMustang wrote:Anyone have a NAB standing at stud for a reasonable price (I'm pretty new and don't have much money)? I'm looking for one with other 60,000 HGP to cover my mares. My best stallion that I've bred is a bit over 63,000 but I don't really want to interbreed my stock. If you're selling I would also be interested. Or I would be willing to trade. Purebred North African Barbs only please. :)

Hope I didn't bother anyone too much!
