How does the horses shine work? [ANSWERED]
Post by TouchOfClass »
Does it depend on their feed, or is it just from breeding with other shiny horses?
I just really love shiny horses because I feel like it looks better especially on the breed I am breeding.
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question.

It's not a stupid question at all.
Horses will accumulate some shine as they are trained. Essentially, as a horse becomes more fit their coat will have more shine to it.
There's a genetic trait that increases the shine as well. The Turkmene breed from the AC is the originator of this "shiny" gene and it can be passed on to foals in varying degrees. So it is something that you can breed in to your own stock if you so desire.

Ohh that makes sense. Thank you!
Also this might be a off topic question but is it normal that my mare is this big when she's pregnant? I have had her pregnant for what I would guess is 18-20 turns now. I have bred several times before but I've never seen them this big before.
