Technically, she is not. She started off as a normal buckskin. The reason why she is so shiny is because of training- what you're seeing is NOT a natural metallic sheen, but training sheen. A real naturally metallic buckskin horse won't be that shiny or muscular. Usually Akhal-Tekes and Turkmenes have this natural sheen. Here's an example.
(The following horses are not mine)
Metallic Buckskin Turkmene
He has only a little training, so the training sheen has not really developed yet. But you can see a tiny bit of natural metallic sheen..
Metallic-ish Bay
Another example of natural sheen.
Now, here are a few trained horses of mine that are only shiny, like your horse, because they are well-trained or even fully trained. Trained horses are usually very muscular as well, and will seem to have put on a lot of weight ( when really, that's just all muscles )
Trained Trakehner Stallion
You see? His coat looks like liquid gold
Trained Palomino w/ LP Pony
Even the tiny ponies can seem very stocky. Just look at his dam. She's nowhere near as shiny. ( But his sire's trained as well, so nturally he's got that sheen )
Trained Mare
If your horse is a dark color like Versace is, the sheen won't stand out as much.
Trained Varnish Mare
On the other hand, on varnish and light colors like cremello or perlino, the sheen really stands out.

As Champi0nBr66der3 and Stormchase has said, she isn't metallic. If you look at the head, that will demonstrate the metallic gene even in a trained horse as training doesn't add sheen to the head.Nazarach wrote:Is she metallic? she seems really shiny - even her head, so i'm unsure
