Re: Cloud Nine Acres: Hanoverians
Post by JillJessie1997 »
I have decided to breed my Hanoverians for dressage instead of eventing as the stats for that discipline are already looking quite decent. My first generation Hanoverian girls have reached breeding age and have been bred to my two colts. I will be keeping horses with high percents in movement, balance and tempo. Can't wait to see what I produce! Stay tuned

My second generation Hanoverians
Post by JillJessie1997 »
I fully trained all of them...'cause you know, why not? I didn't plan on keeping Phantom at first, but decided to do so. I'm going to see if I can use him to raise balance in Majesty's offspring and balance/tempo in Lunar's.
Sparrow
4* || Movement 43 || Balance 39 || Tempo 36
Phantom
5* || Movement 35 || Balance 38 || Tempo 35
Majesty
5* || Movement 41 || Balance 22 || Tempo 36
Lunar
4* || Movement 43 || Balance 26 || Tempo 26
Sparrow
4* || Movement 43 || Balance 39 || Tempo 36
Phantom
5* || Movement 35 || Balance 38 || Tempo 35
Majesty
5* || Movement 41 || Balance 22 || Tempo 36
Lunar
4* || Movement 43 || Balance 26 || Tempo 26

Hanoverian Update
Post by JillJessie1997 »
Only stallion and offspring out of Lunar, her genetics haven't meshed well with Phantom or Sparrow to my disappointment. This is the only quality horse she has produced, sired by Phantom (whom has just been sold). Lunar is also on sale. Jupiter has earned $34k+ in dressage so far, giving me great confidence in my program for these guys.
Jupiter
Movement 49 || Balance 39 || Tempo 39
Sired by Phantom, out of Majesty who has produced better foals than Lunar.
Regina
Movement 41 || Balance 31 || Tempo 31
Sired by Sparrow and also out of Majesty. Another awesome foal.
Audra
Movement 44 || Balance 36 || Tempo 41
I want one more filly out of Majesty before I sell her on. She has produced absolutely awesome horses. Too bad I can't say the same for Lunar. Anyway, extremely satisfied with the program so far.

Shetland Ponies+North African Barbs
Post by JillJessie1997 »
A couple weeks ago I decided to adopt a couple of painted Shetland Ponies to breed for in-hand jumping. There's not much going in the stud department for the breed so I decided to adopt North African Barbs to raise agility and keep the painted pattern. I know strength is the third important stat for in-hand jumping and I haven't figured out how I will raise that stat. Probably add Belgians into the mix to raise strength.
I'm thinking when the NABs serve their purpose I'll just raise the stats for the breed in general.
Here are the critters I have bred so far:
Appalachian
Part Shetland Pony x NAB
Agility 42 || Strength 27
Alizee
Part Shetland Pony x NAB
Agility 41 || Strength 28
July
Shetland Pony x NAB
Agility 46 || Strength 24
Ferdinand
Shetland Pony x NAB
Agility 49 || Strength 21
Stars
Shetland Pony x NAB
Agility 42 || Strength 22
Ellis
NAB
Agility 46 || Strength 20
Jade
Part NAB x Shetland Pony
Agility 46 || Strength 20
Ophelia
Shetland Pony x NAB
Agility 45 || Strength 19
Mossy
Part NAB x Shetland Pony
Agility 48 || Strength 24

Got a pony that pushed me past the 20s strength barrier.
Golden Jello
Part Shetland Pony x NAB
Agility 41 || Strength 30
Makes me pretty happy, as I really don't want to throw in another breed (Belgian) to raise strength. Jello is the first of his parents and I am going to see how well they mesh together as a breeding pair.

This project is officially closed as of July 1st, thanks to all of you who bought my horses! As of now I am just training my horses and grinding local shows while I figure out what I am going to do with my farm.
