It's minimum 24 hours from the first bid, then whenever I get the chance to close it thereafter. If I'm online, they generally close within an hour after that 24-hour time-block.

The time-check is linked on the auction with the horse, if you click on that link and wait for it to load, the reply that it [should] load to, will have the timestamp. It's minimum 24-hours after that timestamp.

To answer your question directly, it's another 4 hours and a number of minutes until the minimum 24-hours is reached.
