Thoroughbreds From AC Stock
Do you ever look at your Thoroughbreds COI and cringe? Ever check that pedigree and think “what a nice round family tree?“ yeaaah maybe its becoming a thing. We could sure use some new bloodlines around these parts no? So here you guys go. A nice little helpful step by step.
Is it perfect?
Yes I’m Frost I’m literally perfection
No probably not.
I am chaos
But I hope this is helpful!
Start with these AC breeds
Arabian
I recommend 2 Stallion, Freeze 1
Forest Horse
I recommend 2 Stallions, Freeze 1
North African Barb
I recommend 3 mares, Freeze 1
Turkmene
1 Mare will do
Przewalski
I recommend 1 Stallion 2 Mares
Tarpan
I recommend 1 Stallion 2 Mares
1st Created Breeds
Akhal-Teke
(Arabian x Turkmeme)
Freeze For Later
West African Barb
((Arabian x NAB ) X ( Forest x NAB))
Freeze Extras For Later
Exmoor Pony
(Prz x Tarpan)
Freeze For Later
Mongolian
((Prz x Tarpan) X Tarpan)
2nd Created Breed
Sorraia
((Tarpan x Mongolian) X (Tarpan x WAB))
You’re Going To Need A Good Number Of These
3rd Created Breed
Carthusian
(WAB x Sorraia)
Save Any Failed Crossings For Next Creation
4th Created Breed
Andalusian
((Sorraia x Carthusian) X (Sorraia x WAB))
5th Created Breed
Friesian
((Forest Horse X (Arabian x Andalusian))
6th Created Breeds
Galloway
((Exmoor Pony X (Exmoor Pony x Friesian))
Almost There!
Thoroughbred
((Arabian x NAB) X (Akhal-Teke x Galloway))
Okay good luck!

This looks quite useful! Also I was not expecting exact same path for creating Clydes and TBs up until almost the very end lolFrost wrote:Thoroughbreds From AC Stock

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're expecting purebred foals from two different breed parents?CivicVti wrote:hello.I am new here and I have some questions

So I'm assuming one of two things. First, you think that one parent (the mare or the stallion) determines the pure-breed of the resulting foal... which doesn't make much sense. So the second must be true. Second, you're expecting to pop a new breed from your cross.
Arabian and a NAB can make only the Baladi. But it's not a sure thing to do so. For in-depth reading, please refer to this helpful guide.
But it also seems like you're leaning toward 'why does this say 50%?' Because your foal is 50% of each breed.
In order to make a mixed-, part- or half-breed back into a purebred, it will take a number of generations. But it is possible. When breeding back to purebreds, it can take as little as I think it's three generations. When breeding to other mixed- or part-breeds, it can take as many as ten generations or more. And in some instances, the amount of the breed is just too small (less than 15%), but nobody has yet published how little is too little to make purebred when working with the little amounts on both sides.
Also, when dealing with more than two breeds (three and more), you create opportunities to get a 'Grade' horse... which is the horse equivalent of the mutt dog.
Did I cover your questions? Do you have more?

I want to make a Java horse which is made from Timor pony x [Arabian X NAB]
To make a good foal of Java,it is needed to be 100% [Arabian X NAB] or my 50% filly is proper?
And sorry for my english,I am Greek
