Hey,HorzeLover101 wrote:Custom Sooty Dappled Bay Filly out of GC Luminescent Woods x NBK's Red Rebellion
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. So my mare actually dropped 4 fillies but I had HOF 2 train some and age them up, and sadly 1 came out without dapples and another with faint dapples, and the other two are unknown. Not sure if you are wanting me to breed them back to the same stud (their sire) or if I could possibly use my friend's stud who is Sooty and dappled, the only issue is that he is Sooty Dappled Buckskin, not Sooty Dappled Bay. Let me know what you are thinking. I have linked the pasture below containing the 2 fillies and the 2 aged mares I plan to breed. I have also inserted photos of the two aged fillies.
Hope to hear back from you soon,

You can do whatever you like to be able to achieve the dappled look in that color. Dapples normally start showing between 1-3 years (depends on coloring) from what i found. So if you could age them if possible to see if they have the correct gene, that would be greatNBK wrote:Hey,HorzeLover101 wrote:Custom Sooty Dappled Bay Filly out of GC Luminescent Woods x NBK's Red Rebellion

I would also try to keep down COI so probably breeding to your friends stallion with the sooty or dapples would help with that.
Thank you so much!
P.S. Keep me updated from this forum you created to ping me in case im not on

Okay, I will try doing that because I know you want a Sooty Bay horse with rather loud Dapples, correct? So I wasn't sure if you wanted me to try something different to achieve that look or not.
I will for sure keep you updated!
