Well, I mean I'd be able to help with the breed if you wanted, but without purebred mares / fillies I'd have to outcross. Which of course is doable, but not ideal... although it would lower COI. Normally I keep one or two stallions and about 3-6 mares per breed I work with. ^^;Ladybug JR wrote:Thank you! I have started a breeding program from an older account from a freind, It's the french trotters. You can have colts and stallions free, but you'll have to find your own mares and fillys as I'm keeping my own.Ziel wrote:
Hey there - just pinging you to let you know your horses had their first foal! Unfortunately the filly takes after the father with the dilution, but she does appear to have two spots in her mane that are affected by the tobiano markings! So she technically has two "stripes", although one is a little close to the withers so I'm not sure how it'll look once her mane grows out.
I will be keeping her as a breeder unless I produce a filly that is more towards what you want, and can thus replace her spot in the program.

I'll keep her to help build up the broodmare herd, as she is still an improvement from what you sent over originally. Once I have these mares producing, I should be able to start being pickier with foals I keep for breeding - and thus, be able to give you the foals I don't hang onto!

I actually just bred 2 fillys, here they are. They may be young, but I'm sure at some point, you'll be able to breed them. You can pick one for now, I'm trying to use wichever one you don't want for my project. Plz ping mewith your choice.Ziel wrote:Ladybug JR wrote:

Hi there! Sorry I haven't responded until now - I did about 2 days at the barn IRL last week, and will likely do another 2 or 3 days volunteering again this week. xD;Ladybug JR wrote:I actually just bred 2 fillys, here they are. If I'm allowed to choose between the two, I prefer The Black Death, since she has higher stats. That being said, how would you like to work on this breeding project? Any specific goals, and any thoughts on payment? Remember that this post here has my thoughts on potential arrangements.
I can work with your friend, too! I noticed you mentioned that in my other thread, which I have now bookmarked to make sure I get ALL replies, since I just figured out how to do that.

Looks good!Ziel wrote:New colt!Ladybug JR wrote:.
He was actually produced with a different stud than yours - yours didn't have energy when I went to breed. None the less, I found a cheap stud that I thought fit your requirements, and produced this boy! But, he may become darker in color than the first filly.
