{OLD: NO LONGER IN USE}The Canadian Horse
Post by BlanketMonster »
The Canadian Horse is a little-known national treasure of Canada. In April of 2002, the Parliament of Canada passed a bill establishing the Canadian Horse as Canada's National Horse, recognising the breed’s contribution to building this great nation. A breed that celebrated its 350th year in 2015!

-Short and square, some slight slope is acceptable
-Ears should not be long, medium to short preferred
-Cheeks and jaw should be wide and firm, but not fat
-Medium length neck
-Straight rather than curved
Shoulder and Barrel:
- Slight raised withers
-Medium to low point shoulder
-Very deep chest and flank
Back, Haunches, Legs:
-Short and straight back
-Medium thickness and long legs
-Slightly sloping croup
-Tail attached rather high, thick

They are tough, strong horses, tolerant of inclement weather conditions, and are extremely "easy keepers". Because of these traits, the Canadian Horse is often referred to as "The Little Iron Horse". The Canadian Horse can be called an all-purpose animal.
Uses:
Driven Dressage / Western and English Pleasure / Western Trail / Cutting

@Woodstock
These are the mares that I can offer you. I looked through my herd (which needs a major clean up and organizing) and found that none are really close to being a good shot for a St.Lawrence.
There is (F) Canadian| Thinking Wanderer
and (F) Brave Stardust
who is Part Shire x Canadian (55%)
If either interest you please let me know. Both would cost ~$5000 each.

Sure thing! Buying/Lending whatever works for you best.
I placed her in the market for $5000 so you can pick her up whenever.

I tinkered in the demo a bit and I've come up with what I think would be a pretty good conformation/body shape to strive for!
Mane can either be the thick fluffy one or the long straight one.
Let me know what you think!

Hey, I'm working on creating my own lines of Canadian Warmbloods and was wondering if you had any Canadian Horses with decent stats and a Medium Light to Medium build.BlanketMonster wrote:I tinkered in the demo a bit and I've come up with what I think would be a pretty good conformation/body shape to strive for!
