I've got one better!!!
Missing the notification (for the same feeding reason)... and getting the notification that the mare passed on, with the additional turn!
Luckily, I got smart and haven't had that happen for quite some time.
Especially when the foal is a colt and you really, really wanted a filly - or vice versa!
Don't forget to check it out!

That moment when...
You enter a competition with one really good horse and another that you think is kind of average and don't expect too much out of...
And you beat your own 'better' horse with your 'kind of average' horse...
Then you're like:

Thanks to placing against himself, my grinder now has his first 3rd place...

... I've had that too... except my single click has in the past, entered twice. It hasn't happened for awhile, at least not that I've noticed.
I hadn't looked, but the ones I noticed, generally came in consecutive spots.
Getting both first and THIRD is... even more hilarious.
It's a good thing he's a grinder and not part of an important trial line showing a lot of promise.
A lot of us share similar (or rather the same) experiences, so it does make going through such frustrating episodes a LOT easier.

It's actually a very good example of how nothing can change with us, on our end, yet the outcome still has a lot of variables still in play.

how about when your better statted horse gets beat by a horse with 10 or more points lower in the top stat for the category you entered it in?

LOL!!!
Seriously funny! And So Sad!
Yet I'm still laughing!
I've never looked into the losses that closely, never considered it, but then again, I'm not a regular competition stable.
I think I'll be keeping this in mind in the future.
....
And now this thought comes to mind...
Was it one of my horses???
