ISO Irish Draught and their foundations: TB, Andalusian, Connemara and Belgian
Post by QuesthavenFarms »
I recently found the perfect horse so I am starting an Irish Draught project.
I am looking to buy Irish Draughts and am willing to pay for them as I know they are rare. Prefer they conform to the RL breed standard i.e. no color spot genes or strange conformation. Also, I prefer greys without the graying gene but be Silver Dapples instead. Cross okay but prefer pure if possible.
Also, I am willing to pay for any of the following foundation breeds that eval 4 or higher for Irish Draught.
TB mares 3* or higher, stallions 5*
Andalusians 5*
Connemara mare 4* or higher, stallions 5*
Belgians 3* or higher (prefer without feathers)
If you have these breeds, I can eval them if you think they are close and don't want to pay for the book.
The eval is
Height Mature Range 15.3hh to 17.3hh
Build Medium Light to Medium Heavy
Body Size 50% to 80%
Type 60% Horse Type to 70% Pony Type
Here are some examples of what an Irish Draught looks like.

Also, I am willing to work with someone who is working on the breed or is interested in joining in.
PM or respond here.
Thanks

I have just started working on the Irish Draught breed. I do not have a Connemara pony however, I do have everything else.

Merry, of course, I only have four or so now but soon I should have enough to share.

I would love to use your colt Houdini and see if we can make a few Irish Draughts to share.Moose Ranch wrote:I would love to help however I can.QuesthavenFarms wrote:
