New Genes Added & Competition Challenge

Last night I finally added in the two new genes I mentioned in my previous post. One to increase/decrease the horses neck length, and another to increase/decrease the "rump height" which creates an uphill or downhill conformation.

This morning I assigned the new genes to breeds in the adoption center.
Long Neck Genes
Can be found in Turkmenes, and occasionally Arabians.

Short Neck Genes
Can be found in Tarpans, Shetlans, Przewalski's, Belgians, and occasionally Forest Horses.

Uphill Conformation
Can be found in Forest Horses, North Africa Barbs and occasionally Tarpans.

Downhill Conformation
Can be found in North African Barbs and occasionally Turkmenes.

The next update I'm working on will be to connect these genes, and many other genes, into the horses physical ability. For example, a horse with a downhill conformation will have increased speed; a horse with a large hindquarter will have increased strength. More details about this will be posted soon.

In the meantime, we're going to be having our last Competition Challenge before the reset.

Competition Challenge

The challenge this time is going to be in the form of combined training competitions.

3 Day Eventing [English Challenge]
- Dressage
- Cross Country
- Show Jumping

Versatility Ranch Horse [Western Challenge]
- Cutting
- Reining
- Working Ranch

Combined Driving [Driving Challenge]
- Driven Dressage
- Marathon Driving
- Obstacle Driving

Racing Challenge
- Sprint Racing
- Racing
- Steeplechase

Each competition will be Level 10 so all horses can enter, however we'll also have multiple Divisions to level out the playing field a little.
Divisions will be based on age.

Beginner Division [3 years and under]
Intermediate Division [3 years to 8 years old]
Advanced Division [8 years and older]

The winners of each are the horse who earns the most total points.
Horses must enter all 3 competitions in their challenge to qualify.
Horses may enter more than one challenge.

Competitions will be posted on Thursday morning. You'll be able to enter at that point but remember that your horse is judged at the time he enters the event. So if you plan on training more make sure you enter after training. But don't train too much that your horse is too old to enter the event you're aiming for.

The first competitions for each challenge will run on Friday evening. The second will run on Saturday afternoon, and the third will run on Sunday afternoon. Winners will be announced shortly after the third competition runs.
