Competition Deleted?
Post by Royale Training »
I created a competition (on a different account of mine) specifically for a certain breed of horse, mostly so I could test which body shape/type and genes of my current heard performs best, and if it was worth improving that particular line.
I simultaneously entered 27 (i think) horses in the comp, but now I cannot find the competition.
Has it been deleted to prevent inflation or something?
just be nice to know.....
(This particular comp. was for Exmoor Ponies, Showjumping Level 3.)
..or if anyone can find it, it would be much appreciated! )

Don't worry - I answered my own question.
Despite only making the Comp. about 5-10 minutes before entering the horses, and having a date for 3 days time, the event ran immediately.
why?

I'm not much help, but I do have a few questions:Royale Training wrote:I created a competition (on a different account of mine) specifically for a certain breed of horse, mostly so I could test which body shape/type and genes of my current heard performs best, and if it was worth improving that particular line.

1. Have you checked the account to make sure that the competition is active?
2. Have you made sure your Exmoors are able to compete in that level show?
3. Have you maybe set the age restrictions differently before?
4. Have you checked if the competition has already run? (If so, the competition, unless set to reoccurring, is completed now and won't show up)
Maybe these will help?

UPDATE:
I just peeked at one of your horses and saw that you had 2 Private competitions, and both have already been judged and set to "No Reoccurrence," meaning that you will need to make a new competition to enter them in. Hope this helped. I've linked both competitions below:

When a competition is full it runs right away.Royale Training wrote:Don't worry - I answered my own question.

As Tom said.Royale Training wrote:...
To give a little more information (from experience on the game), a quote I offered to another:
Competitions appear to run in about 5 to 10 minute windows.... Competitions run when the time and date of the running comes up and also when there is a minimum of 5 entries.
Open Competitions are also supposed to run 'immediately' when 20 entries fill the competition. Open Competition 20-entry immediate run, does not apply to Set Date Competitions (these are made by upgraded members and are also called Reoccurring Competitions)...

Thankyou all for your input - very interesting.
Also noted today, that after entering 30 horses, the competition was "locked" for any further entries.

I assume that's for an 'Open Competition'.Royale Training wrote:Thankyou all for your input - very interesting.

I'll make note of that in the competition help page.

I'll make note of that in the competition help page.
However, I did manage to enter more horses in a different comp, so not sure....

It's very likely then that the competition was running when it 'closed' for you.Royale Training wrote:I didnt know there was any difference between them, but will take a look on the page you mentioned.BlackOak2 wrote:

Either way, I made note of it that it may happen.

From memory, the message said something like:
"This competition has reached it's capacity, and more horses can be entered."
Thanks for your help.
